Abstract

Margaret Turek plumbs Hans Urs von Balthasar’s Trinitarian theology, specifically focusing on the triad of dramatic creativity (author, actor, and director) as a metaphor for the economic Trinity. Analyzing the interpersonal dynamics of self-giving, kenosis, and mutual creative freedom between the author and actor, Turek demonstrates how this theodramatical framework serves as a primer for understanding Christology and the patrogenetic relationship between God the Father and the incarnate Son.
